Auctority-Workshop about AI at Panasonic 1366 768 Carolin Weinheimer

Half a day – one workshop – one mission: to train HR managers from various Panasonic locations across Europe in the field of AI. Andreas, Monika and Ralf travelled to Panasonic in Wiesbaden in May. A brief summary of the workshop.

The mood at the beginning: around half of the participants have already worked with AI. The other half were still in the early stages. The best conditions for a practical and instructive session.

Part 1: What’s possible with AI? More than you might think.

To demonstrate the range of artificial intelligence, Ralf presented 20 possible applications. From brainstorming tools to code writers and text editors to action figures that virtually come to life – there’s an example for everyone of how AI can help in everyday life.

Part 2: Understanding the basics.

What exactly is generative AI? Why is it not used like a search engine? Why are tokens and vectors important? Monika provided a compact overview of the technical basics.
The input was immediately followed by a jump into practice: exercises such as ‘Fool the Tool’ to test the limits of Panasonic’s internal AI and the hands-on session on correct prompting showed the participants that AI can be a versatile colleague if used correctly.
Andreas provided an overview of what will be possible in the future and what applications such as custom GPTs and AI agents can already do.
The prospect of an automated future raises questions – about regulation, for example. Andreas finds the answer in the jungle of paragraphs in the EU AI Act.

Part 3: AI at Panasonic: where do we stand?

An internal survey showed where AI is already being used in HR – and where there is still potential. In order to put this into practice, eight use cases were identified with which Panasonic can already benefit from the use of AI.

And now? Each with a mission.

Finally, the homework assignment: What is my personal AI goal? What do I want to achieve with this technology?

By the end of the workshop, Andreas, Ralf and Monika had really earned their reward ice cream. But: developments in artificial intelligence never stop, which is why it’s always worth taking a look at our training programme.
